Create Golden Statue From Plaster Statue

Ok Let’s get started!
 
Step 1
Open new document. Copy 2 stock images to main document. Then press Ctrl + Shift + U to change the color to black and white.
Step 2
Add layer styles to cloud stock as show below.
Step 3
Add layer styles to sand stock as show below.
Step 4
Copy the statue from the stock image to main document. Then press Ctrl + Shift + U to set the black and white color for the statue.
Step 5
While choosing statue layer, go to menu Image > Adjustments > Selective Color and set as in the image below.
Step 6
Add layer styles to statue layer.
Step 7
Create new layer upon statue layer, call it “golden”.While holding Ctrl click on statue layer to obtain its selection and fill it #ad8a00. Then change the Blending Mode to Color Burn.
Step 8
Create new layer under “golden”, call it “yellow”. While holding Ctrl click on statue layer to obtain its selection and fill it #ffd800. Then change its Blending Mode to Multiply and reduce Opacity to 1%. By this way, we will change white area for yellow area on the statue.
Step 9
Create new layer under statue layer, call it “shadow”. While holding Ctrl click on statue layer to obtain its selection and fill it black color. Then press Ctrl + T to transform it as show below.
Step 10
Go to menu Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur, set Radius: 5px and reduce Opacity to 60%.
Step 11
Set Brush as show in image below and add more detail to the “shadow”.
Step 12
Press Ctrl + J to duplicate sand layer. At new sand layer, we make the detail as show below.
Step 13
Press Ctrl + Alt + Shift + E to merge all layer into one new. Rename new layer “merge 1″. Go to menu Filter > Render > Len Flare and set as show in image below.
Step 14
Create new layer on top, call it “light”. Then follow the images below to make the light effect.
Step 15
Press Ctrl + J 3 times to duplicate “light” to 3 new “light” layers. Transform them as in image below and change their Blending Mode to Overlay.
Step 16
Add the Solid Color layer on top. Set as image show below.
Step 17
Add Gradient Fill layer on top. Set as image show below.
Step 18
Press Ctrl + Alt + Shift + E to merge all layers into one new on top. Rename new layer “merge 2″. Go to menu Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur, set Radius: 10px. Then change its Blending Mode to Multiply and reduce Opacity to 50%.
Step 19
On top, copy Watercolor texture to main document and transform it. Press Ctrl + Shift + U to change its color to black and white.
Step 20
Change its Blending Mode to Soft Light. So we have done.
